Belmin Okanovic was born in 1997 and has started his companionship with the guitar at the age of eight.

He completed the primary and secondary music school in his native city of Tuzla, in the class of a renowned professor Predrag Stankovic.

Okanovic has already held an enviable number of public performances and concerts, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad (Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Poland...).

He has been advancing his skills in classical guitar music with famous guitar players: Zoran Dukic, Marcin Dylla, Margarita Escarpa, Paolo Pegoraro, Gerhard Reichenbach, Tilmann Hoppstock, Denis Azabagic, Dejan Ivanovic, Boris Tesic, Sanel Redzic, Srdjan Tosic, Zoran Krajisnik, Alexandar Swete, Alvaro Pierri, Marco Tamayo, Alan Thomas, Thomas Offermann, Anabel Montesinos, Istvan Roemer, Xevdet Sahatxija, Lukasz Kuropaczewski.


Belmin Okanovic was awarded with more than 20 federal and international awards from prestigious guitar competitions. in B&H, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Germany.

He has also won a number of recognitions at cantonal and federal level of Bosnia and Herzegovina; among them, he is especially proud of the Recognition by the FBiH Ministry of Science and Culture, giving him the recognition as the most successful student from the music schools in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2011/2012 academic year.

In June 2017, Belmin was admitted to the prestigious Robert Schumann School in Dusseldorf, continuing his learning in the class of Prof. Joaquin Clercha.

During the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic years, Belmin took all the necessary auditions to be awarded with the German Scholarship (Deutschlandstipendium), the goal of which is to financially support young artists during their study.

In 2019, Belmin Okanovic was also selected as a solo player of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and will be playing concerts as such in the next three years in Germany, in the Nordrhein-Westfalen region.
